Helen Schmidlkofer is the City Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Chilton, WI. Appointed clerk/treasurer in October 1995; in 2005 Helen acquired the additional duties and title of Administrative Coordinator.

Helen was nominated and elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada beginning in July 2009. Currently serving as chairperson of the Membership and New Member Orientation committees in addition to serving as a member of the Recruit and Retain sub-committee.

Helen received her Certified Municipal Treasurers of Wisconsin certification in 1999 and re-certified in 2009. Helen has been actively involved in the Municipal Treasurers Association of Wisconsin. Offices held within MTAW include District Director, Secretary, President Elect, President, Past President and currently Director at Large.

Helen is also a member of the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Association and is a Wisconsin Certified Municipal Clerk. A member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and has obtained the Master Municipal Clerk Certification. This is the highest professional distinction conferred by the IIMC.

Helen and her husband Tom have three grown children.  Helen is a marathon runner, loves to travel and meet people.
