Presidents Message

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Association of Public Treasurers United State and Canada's Website.  APT is an association of treasurers and public finance professionals from all over the United States and Canada.  It is the mission of APT to "provide quality education and training, professional certification, and networking opportunities for public treasury and financial officials."  As you spend some time touring the website, you will see it provides many opportunities for this mission.

The website provides information to members regarding APT certification programs and training opportunities. You can also obtain information on the association's annual conferences and seminars and training available at these conferences. Newsletters, publications and RFP resources are also available.  If you have any suggestions or recommendations for the website, please contact us and let us know.

If you are not a current member, I would highly encourage you to join.  There is a section of the website with special member benefits.  Being a member also opens up the doors for incredible networking opportunities.  For example, APT has a list-serve where members can sign up for different areas, such as budgeting, and send out questions to fellow members and receive responses.  This has proven a valuable resource for a number of members.  It also allows headquarters to send out regular communications on what is happening in the treasury world.
