Q. What is APT US & C?

APT US & C is a nonprofit corporation established more than thirty years ago with the express purpose of serving public treasury officials. It has established itself as an international association committed to advancing the public treasury management profession. It provides educational, technical, and legislative information to its approximately 2,000 members to enhance their knowledge of treasury management and public finance.

Q. I’ve just received a “past due” invoice for my annual dues. How do I make sure my membership doesn't get canceled?

Memberships are retained for thirty days beyond their due date. If you have an invoice that is more than thirty days past due, you should contact headquarters immediately to discuss a possible extension of payment.

Q. I have just changed municipalities. What do I need to do to maintain membership?

In this instance, membership stays with the city and will be transferred to the individual who has assumed authority. You in turn must re-apply for membership under your new entity. In order to avoid a lapse in membership, your application must be received within thirty days.

Q. I received my CPFA (CMFA). Is my credential still valid?

The CPFA formerly called CMFA credential must be renewed every five years. Therefore, if you were certified five years ago, you must re-apply by June 1st of this year in order to keep your certification current. Please visit the certification page on the web to download a copy.

Q. How do I become a member of your Board of Directors?

APT US & C’s Board of Directors is selected by a panel each August. Members of the Association are invited and encouraged to apply. Applications can be obtained from headquarters. Terms are for one year (August to August).

Q. Is it possible to pay for my membership online?

Q. Can I access my membership file online?

Yes, You may log into the members-only page and view your profile.

Q. The person on the dues invoice I just received is no longer with this city. How do I go about switching names on the invoice?

If you have received an invoice with incorrect data, simply cross through the outdated information and make changes directly on the invoice. Once the invoice and payment is received by APT US & C, all changes will be in the computer and confirmation will be mailed to you.
