APT US & C Membership Benefits APT US & C MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
An annual conference is held each year in a different city. Members will receive significant discounts on registration fees for APT US & C Annual Conferences. Educational tracks include Cash Management, Investing and Debt, Accounting and Budget, Retirement, Human Resources and Payroll, Technology and Digital Government. This intense all day seminar serves as a basic training class for new treasurers and a great refresher course for returning treasurers. The Academy provides continued educational opportunities points toward CPFA certification of treasurers. Classes include: Budget, Fund Accounting, Investing Public Funds, and the Audit Process. The E-Learning Center offers a wide variety of educational opportunities to participate in without leaving your office. The Center offers training, seminars, conferences and certification programs. APT US & C Certification programs are recognized international as evidence of a proven level of education, skill and knowledge. The following certification programs are offered: Certified Public Finance Administrator (CPFA), Model Investment Policy, Debt Policy Review and Certification, Disaster Minimization, Cash Handling Certification. Publications, Manuals and Seminars Members receive discounts on training manuals. APT US & C offers a wide selection of publications and manuals. The manuals and seminars are internationally recognized and are written and taught by public finance professionals. Topics include Cash Handling, Cash Collections, Debt, Disaster, Fraud, Internal Controls, and Revenue Collections. A forum system that enables members to shares ideals, network, and ask questions between each other. The List Serve System is an essential tool that keeps members in constant contact with one another. An online directory that lists the members of APT US & C. The APT US & C Membership Directory has alphabetic and geographic listings of each member that include information on certifications and Internet e-mail addresses. The Directory is available on the members-only page and is updated frequently. Treasury Notes - The official periodical of APT US & C, and is circulated to 2,000 public treasury and finance officials, university department heads, firms, state associations, and municipal leagues. This bi-monthly publication consists of treasury and finance-related articles that are submitted by public and private sector individuals and serves to inform and educate readers on current topics. Technical Topics - Published quarterly and provides readers with an in-depth review of current technical issues in the public treasury and finance management arena. Spotlights - Bi-Monthly email sent to all members on upcoming events and new membership benefits Members have access to a personal site with members-only content, personal profile information and administration and list serve communities.
