Customer Service Training - Core Skills

There's always room to improve customer service! The Excellence in Customer Service training program is a two-part program designed to provide a solid foundation for anyone who wants to provide high level service in municipal-based customer service settings. 

In part one, Core Skills session, attendees will learn:

  • The importance of customer service
  • Identifying the role the Treasurer's office in delivering excellent customer service.
  • The impact laws, policies, and procedures have on the customer experience.
  • Key principles of excellent customer service.
  • Communication skills and techniques appropriate in varied experiences.
  • The importance of building trust with the community.
  • The benefits of providing excellent customer service.

Part Two of the series "Advanced Customer Service" focuses on recognizing and managing emotions in interactions while applying de-escalation techniques to maintain professionalism and resolve issues effectively and will be available in the near future. Part One, Core Skills, MUST be completed prior to taking the Advanced session. Learn more about both parts of the Excellence in Customer Service training offered by APT US&C.
