Currently, there are 18 state and/or provincial associations of treasurers and finance directors that are affiliated with APT US & C. Criteria for acknowledging State/Provincial Associations
- The purpose of the organization shall be to promote the educational and professional interest of the public treasurer.
- There shall be an annual meeting.
- Election of officers shall be held at the annual meeting.
- The Bylaws shall state:
- Qualification for membership
- Members rights and privileges
- Dues structure
- Termination of membership
- Officer titles, qualifications, powers, duties, manner and time of election
