State Affiliate Awards
Congratulations to the many APT US&C members who are recognized for exemplary service and commitment by their state organizations. We are proud of your accomplishments! Please share your honors with us so that we can recognize you and your state organization for all of the work that is done for regional and local treasury professionals throughout the country.
Kathy Lenz, 2020 WAMCAT of the Year Kathy was awarded this honor from the Wyoming Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers. The WAMCAT of the Year is given annually to an individual who is outstanding in their performance and achievements and has made the most significant contribution to the objectives of WAMCAT and within their own community. Kathy is the Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Sundance, Wyoming. She is pictured on the left, with 2019 honoree Julie Silbernagel.
Vicki Kitchen, Financial Management Award, AIM Vicki was awarded the Financial Management Award from Aim (Accelerate Indiana Municipalities) at the 2020 AIM Summit this past October. This award recognizes a finance officer or administrator for outstanding achievements in fiscal management, financial recording, and leadership in public service. Vicki is the Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of North Liberty, Indiana. Vicki also serves as the Secretary on the APT US&C Board of Directors.
Laurie Sheldon, PRIME Award, MMTA Laurie was awarded the 2021 Professional Recognition In Municipal Excellence (PRIME). The PRIME recognizes individuals who have shown distinguished service in their professions, communities, and the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association. Laurie was elected City of Kentwood Treasurer in 2013, has served on the MMTA Board of Directors since 2016 and is currently their Treasurer. She has been an APT US&C member since 2014 and holds her MiCPT, ACPFA, and ACPFIM.
